The County faced an upcoming payroll implementation deadline that, without a parallel payroll testing tool, would mean that the parallel payroll testing for 17,000 employee paychecks would have to be completed by hand. Not only would this have been an overwhelming task for County personnel, but the probability of human error was extremely high. The County knew they needed to automate this process to ensure a smooth Go-Live. AspireHR was recommended to the County due to the strength of its parallel testing solution and the implementation support offered to its clients.
AspireHR offered Payroll LaunchSuite (http://aspirehr.com/payrolllaunch/) to ensure the County would hit their Go-Live deadline. Payroll LaunchSuite is an AspireHR-developed suite of ABAP add-on solutions that allows SAP HR/Payroll clients to “avoid reinventing the wheel.” The Parallel Payroll Analyzer component of Payroll LaunchSuite was key for the County, as it automates the parallel payroll testing process to quickly identify and diagnose payroll inconsistencies in a user-friendly interactive format. Like a human Auditor, it filters out the “noise” of matching results and allows the client to focus on resolving the causes of differences it identifies, ensuring the County’s SAP Payroll system delivers accurate results.
With an implementation time of only 9 days, the County was able to deploy and use the product before their deadline. The County was able to mitigate the risk of human error and avoid costly mistakes by thoroughly confirming the completeness and accuracy of their payroll configuration prior to their first payroll check being printed. In addition to analyzing legacy solutions and SAP Payroll discrepancies, the County now uses the Parallel Payroll Analyzer on Year End updates to compare SAP-to-SAP payroll results to ensure the same level of accuracy.
Payroll LaunchSuite has also been used by the County to enhance internal audit compliance with effective audit controls, minimize payroll and tax calculation errors, catch employee overpayments and deter fraud, resolve payday payroll issues in a timely and effective manner, reduce HR workload by reducing rework, and enable HR users to be self-sufficient for HR and Payroll reporting and auditing.
